The zoo is huge, and it is equipped with a playground for children, with a part dedicated for children with reduced mobility. Another play area can be found in the area with farm animals, where is the nursing room located. Most of the ladies rooms have changing tables (located in Terrarium, Dolphinarium, Aviary, entrance to the Carrer Wellington). You can also relax in one of the zoo’s four picnic areas.

Kids under the age of 3 enter free of charge. The zoo toilets are equipped with baby changing rooms. You can get to the zoo by public transport with the buses D20, H14, H16, V21, V27, with the metro L4 (to Barceloneta and Ciutadella - Vila Olípica) or with the tram T4 (to Ciutadella - Vila Olímpica).
