Brisbane, with its tropical climate, is the capital and most populated city in Queensland, and the third largest city in Australia. Relax in one of Brisbane’s many parks; the South Bank Parklands, the Roma Street Parkland, the City Botanic Gardens with the planetarium and the beautiful "Tsuki-yama-chisen" Japanese Garden, the Brisbane Forest Park and the Portside Wharf. Visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world's first koala sanctuary; or the local Zoo. You can also find many waterparks with free entry, for example the South Bank Lagoon and the Aquativity, the Redcliffe Lagoon, the Robelle Domain or the Orion Lagoon.

For some indoor fun (mostly with older children), visit the Rainbow City Children’s Playcentre, the newest indoor play centre in Underwood; the Brisbane Planetarium For Kids featuring amazing displays, astronomy programs and unique and entertaining shows. Or go to the Redcliffe Dimensions, a 7D cinema!

The public transport network in Brisbane is dense and mostly barrier free (bus, rail and ferry services), though people still travel by car or by bike quite a lot. To use the public transport buy the pre-paid Translink Go Card. Getting to the city from the airport is ensured by the Brisbane Airtrain.
