Gibraltar, a British territory, located at the very south of Spain, is spread over a 6.7 sq. km peninsula with the Rock of Gibraltar rising 426 meters high in the centre of it. It is possible to enter Gibraltar by car, by public transport coming from Spain, by plane or by ferry. When driving by car it is most convenient to use the parking lots on the Spanish side of the border.

The city’s downtown is very buggy friendly and easy to walk around with smooth pavements and English signs. The public transport is easy to use and well organised. The only issue might arise when trying to visit the peninsula’s main attraction, the Rock of Gibraltar, while the cable car is out of use due to maintenance, strong winds, etc. In this case the options are to either use the bus line, which however only takes you up half of the way, or take a taxi which can drive almost all the way to the top.

You have probably heard about the local mascots, the monkeys. They will not attack you, but be sure to have something in your hands (a selfie stick is an option) to protect your bags and the buggy, which present an easy target to them. Hiking back down to the city is a feasible option, however unless you want to carry the buggy down a never-ending flight of stairs you have to be prepared for a route with steep slopes and a detour.
