City of Carlsbad is in Czech known as Karlovy Vary. It is one of the most important and most visited spa/thermal cities in Czech Republic and famous for it 13 major thermal springs. The local spa procedures are favorite not only for locals, but the clientele consists a lot from foreigners. If you are coming just for visit, don't forget to bring a cup to taste from the springs.
The city is also famous for its production of Becherovka liquor and it hosts annual International Film Festival. There are three important hotels - Grandhotel Pupp, Imperial and Thermal. The first one you could see in the Bond movie Casino Royale,the second one is dominantly located on top of the central hill and the third one is still owned by Czech state.
Visitors can reach the city by car or by bus from Prague, but there is also international airport that has connection to Prague and Russia. There are 2 historic cable cars in the city, but both very difficult with stroller, although you can take it on with you. The main colonnade with most of the city attractions is flat, barrier free and located along the Tepla river.
