Oslo

The history of Oslo dates back to the time of the Vikings. Oslo is divided into a eastern and a western part by the river Akerselva. Along the river there is a path which passes by nice parks and a large waterfall. In the western part of Oslo you can find the King’s Residence, the University and the main shopping street with luxurious stores.

You can find many museums in the city, among others museums of fine art and the Henrik Ibsen Ski Museum. The most famous and most important art museums are the National Gallery and the Museum of Edvart Munch. The Nobel Peace Center, one of the most modern museums in Norway can be found at the Oslo Harbour.

Oslo is an exceptional city – as soon as you step outside the city centre you will feel like you are somewhere in the remote, isolated countryside.
