Plymouth, a British city on the on the south coast of Devon, is located between the rivers Plym and Tamar, near the border to Cornwall. Plymouth is well-known for its beautiful beaches and hidden coves and it borders the Dartmoor national park, one of Britain’s largest national parks.

This costal city has an interesting and varied history with some fascinating sites to visit with origins dating back from the 15th century onwards, such as the famous Mayflowers Steps where the pilgrims set sail. Other monuments worthwhile seeing include boundary stones and milestones.

Plymouth has many marinas offering amazing views with a variety of sights and restaurants. The city is a centre for artistic and cultural diversity, hosting several events and exhibitions all year-round. The exhibitions include works by Beryl Cook and Robert Lenkiewicz.

The picturesque sandy beaches in the towns and villages surrounding Plymouth are ideal for relaxed moments with your little ones or you can entertain yourself by going crab fishing or participating in water sports.
