Singapore is truly cosmopolitan city where different culture mix flawlessly. This city state, laying on peninsula and 54 islands is one of the safest and most convenient places in Asia and therefore perfect for a family trip with babies. As one of the main Asian financial, cultural and economic centres, the prices are stable, although high in comparison to the neighbouring countries.
As mostly flat city, lying at the Singapore strait, with clean streets (it’s under fine to spit out a chewing gum), smiling people (mostly tourists in the city centre) and weather that may change at every minute, the city centre is very easy to walk around. The direction signs are almost everywhere, pavements are barrierfree and the public transport is convenient to use. Using the SMRT network will get you almost everywhere. All the metro stations are barrierfree although some lifts might be under constructions. In this case parents are using the escalators, even if it’s forbidden to board them with buggy. http://journey.smrt.com.sg/journey/mrt_network_map/
Parent’s hint: If you fancy sea swimming activities, you may enjoy a nice swim at the Sentosa island. Nevertheless countless tankers are spread through the horizon, and even though we let our kid for couple minutes in the sea, we would prefer a bit more clean and quiet place for swimming. Try to travel further away from the Singapore City, either to Malaysia or Indonesia.
Among best things to see in Singapore are Sentosa island with Universal Studios and Sea World, Botanic gardens, Gardens by the bay, China town or Little India. You can find all those amazing places in our video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csnxawItCbc&t=1s

Singapore, a truly cosmopolitan city where different cultures mix flawlessly, is a city state located on the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, distributed onto 54 islands. It is one of the safest, most convenient places in Asia, making it perfect for family trips with babies. As one of Asia’s main financial-, cultural- and economic centres, the prices are stable, although high in comparison to the neighbouring countries.
The city, mostly flat, lying at the Singapore strait with ever changing weather, has clean streets (it is a finable offence to spit out chewing gum) and smiling people (in the city centre mostly tourists). It is easy to walk around the centre, with direction signs almost everywhere. Pavements are barrier-free, and the public transport is convenient to use. The SMRT network will get you almost everywhere and all the metro stations are barrier-free, although some lifts might be under constructions. If this is the case parents use escalators, even though it is forbidden to access them with buggies.
Tip for parents: If you fancy activities involving swimming in the ocean, you might enjoy a swim at Sentosa island. Nonetheless, it has to be mentioned that countless tankers can be seen spread throughout the horizon. We allowed our child into the ocean for a couple of minutes, however we would prefer a cleaner, quieter place for swimming. For this, try traveling further away from Singapore City, either to Malaysia or Indonesia.
Best places to go: Sentosa island; Botanic gardens; Gardens by the bay; China town or Little India town for a short walk
