Sydney, located on Australia's east coast, is the most populous city in the country. Made up of 658 suburbs, and with population around 5mio, Sydney is full of exciting and fun attractions both in and outdoor. Beaches, parks, museums, amusement parks, Zoos or aquariums, Sydney offers all of that and much more for children of all ages. On top of that, it's a perfect place for strolling around the city centre, with very convenient public transport and many green areas to relax in. Take a ferry across Sydney Harbour to see some of Sydney's top attractions or let youself be lifted up to the Skywalk on the Sydney Tower Eye to admire the 360° view of the city.
Sea life, Taronga Zoo are perfect if your children love animals. Sydney Luna Park in Milson's Point is here to amuse yourself and your kids if you are seeking even more fun and noise. On the other side, Royal Botanic Gardens, Hyde park or Centennial Park are places to relax in if you're seeking green area. During hot days, spend some time on any of Sydney's beaches with Bondi beach being the most famous (and most crowded) one.
For some more indoor fun (mostly with older children), visit the Australian National Maritime Museum, the Australian Museum or the Sydney Observatory. You may also visit the Sydney Olympic Park not only as a tourist but also to entertain kids with sports.
As said above, Sydney's public transport is very convenient, constantly being improved and therefore mostly barrier free. Children under 3 years travel for free. All trains are accessible and equipped with folded baby change tables, though some stations have no elevators. Most of the buses and ferries are accessible too and they have ramps for easier access.

Sydney is a very modern city. At first sight it appears huge but the main, traditional sights, like the Opera House, the Harbor Bridge, the Darling Harbor, the Chinese Garden, the Queen Victoria Building and the Botanic Garden can be visited within one day.
All buses are equipped with wheelchair access, making it unproblematic to move around with a stroller. It is not recommended to drive the city by car, it is far easier to get around by boat or bus.
All public toilets are equipped with changing tables.
