It is good to start taking the kids there from when they are 3 years old but there is a Kidz Kingdom which is a fun area just for children aged 8 years old. There is a kid sized roller coaster, space shuttles, car wash convoy ride, surf n swing, old fashioned carousel ride, magic helicopter bikes, jumping star and more. One thing which is good to buy is the Spectator pass lets ride on the Kidz Kingdom rides with your children, so you don't need to pay for a adult superpass if you stick to this area.
