Streets paved by large stones can make your stroll pretty adventurous (or at least tricky). Get your baby food ready there are no refreshment stands, though water is safe to fill from some of the fountains. Don’t expect any baby changing rooms within the areal and during sunny Summer days, make sure you have plenty of fluids with you as Forum Romanum has no shady places. The main entrance to the area is from the Via dei Fori Imperiali and exit gate leading you to the Colosseum or at the Capitoline hill.
The tickets usually cover all three monuments, Forum Romanum, Colosseum and Palatine hill and it’s not possible to purchase them separately. Free entry is on the first Sunday of the month, though expect long queues and everyone under 18 years is for free at any time.
