The Victoria Peak mountain, with its 552 m above sea level, is the best way to observe Hong Kong from the top and is thus one of the major attractions in the city. Catch the tram outside St John’s cathedral and do that very early in the morning, otherwise you'll wait a very long queue. The fast track to the peak (not return) is part of the Hong Kong pass although you'll have to wait the last 50 meters to the tram, which can be very tiring for small children. All passengers tend to run over oneanother to get one of the limited number of seats. If you'll be standing and holding the pram, like we did, hold tight as the climb up is very steep.
Once off the tram, at the Peak Tower, you'll be directed to neverending number of escalators leading you to the rooftop sky terrace (entry free) which will award you with a magnificent view of the city skyline. Don't follow the crowd and take the lift instead, it will save you lot of time. Even the Hong Kong pass won't protect you before waiting the queue on the way back, so get there on time, otherwise get ready for a long walk down or a short taxi ride.
