Gardens by the Bay, divided in to three areas, Bay South, Bay Eas and Bay Central, were opened not long ago. Most popular is the Bay South, a wide area with two conservatories dominating to the scenery. The Cloud Forest Dome festures a 35 meters hill full of exotic flowers and the Flower Domes presents changing display of flowers and plants from the Mediterranean area. The Flower Dome is also listed in the 2015 Guiness world records as the largest glass greenhouse in the world.
The entry to the gardens is for free but if you want to visit the Cloud Forest and the Flower Domes, you have to purchase a ticket (both domes are $20 for adult, $15 seniors and $12 children age 3-12). Domes are opened 9am - 9pm and include elevators and changing rooms, which makes the visit very convenient. Same as all other interiors in Singapore, also the domes are heavily air conditioned (around 23C). Compared to the usual Singapore weather, prepare for high air temperature and humidity difference.
OCBC Skyway, Supertree Grove and Far East Organisation Children's Garder are other places within the area, where to spend time with your kids. Probably the most frequent place for small ones is the Children's garden, laying close to the Cloud Forest dome. Full of water play features, playgrounds, educational areas and relax area for parents, this place is perfect for you and the kids. Just don't forget to bring a swimmsuit or spare set of clothes.
All routes within the park are organised and signed properly, so you will not get lost, though there are one or two outside bathroom areas signed as baby changing rooms without any space to change the baby.
How to get there: either use the SMRT Circle or Downtown line, exit at the Bayfront stop, then cross the Sheares Avenue through the Dragonfly bridge and you are right there. You can also walk along the bay bank, passing the Art Science museum and you can start your tour at the Flower Dome.
