At the Lisbon zoo, the Jardim Zoologico, you can see the world in one day. You will travel around the world without leaving Lisbon, simultaneously contributing to a major global conservation project protecting endangered species and their habitats. The zoo is home to Sumatran Tigers living in the dense vegetation of rainforest; you can observe lions, giraffes and elephants in the dry African Savannah; or be dazzled by the majestic flight of the colourful birds of South America, to mention but a few. You can also take your baby sailing in the ocean to watch dolphins or if you walk the African route you will see gorillas and chimpanzees.

The zoo's entrance is located at the Praça Marechal Humberto Delgado. You can get there by metro, by bus, by rail or by car. Children under the age of 3 enter for free.
