Nitra castle is national cultural monument situated on the hill and is perfectly visible from the Old town below. The abandoned pre-christian settlement was in 8th century AD occupied by Slav and from that moment its' importance starts to rise. In the 11th century we have the first information about castle built with its beautiful basilica.



It is a serious climb from the Old Town to the castle hill, especially with a stroller. But the views...
